Yes. It's too big a task for the moderators to keep up, no offense. And there's been many times when I see a beautiful scan from a series and then click for more info and there's none. Well, at the least the scanner knows about the series so with wiki features, should they feel so inclined, they can share their knowledge and recommendations with the rest of us! I don't think we need to worry about false information because other fans will be quick to correct and I think the anime community is a prideful one. :-P

Hello!

I could have sworn that years ago I had stumbled on a website that was like a meeting place for anime fans. Anyone know of one?

I'm thinking something like craigslist, or adult friend finder, only NOT for sex and specifically for anime/manga fans to find each other and make friends IRL. Any ideas?

I just moved back to the 'States and in small town Sumter, SC there isn't much by way of 'local hang out spots'. And it's all high school territory... -_-;;; I'd love to go to a coffee house or Borders or something, but there just isn't any...

Haha. Well, I know better now than to expect anything great from a dub. As for series itself, yes, plenty of disappointments. Biggest one was Spiral. I looked into it because of it's popularity, but the plot holes and weak character development and overall boring-ness of the series made it a waste of my time.

Disclaimer: Yes, I'm sure the manga is better. But after seeing the series, I'm not inclined to check it out.

People who download anime are usually happier with fansubs. It'd be cool if the anime studios distributed their own shows with English subs that we could buy. Takes out the middle-man American liscenser, gets stuff out quicker, and they have control over it.

A fansubber has to wait until an episode is released in Japan anyways. So if the studio puts in the extra work that some otaku in their basement does in a couple of days, they can please their fans and keep some profits!

Ban and Ginji all the way! Can't get enough of it. ~_^ Don't really like Akabane with either of 'em, either.

I love all the close-minded stereotyping and the need so many people have to justify their choices with their own gender. Insecure much?

I love nouser, the banned bot. It's the perfect scapegoat for when some disgruntled member wants to delete something.

Quote by MegasXLRFanX85Also trying to do a straight up retelling of Knightfall storyline from the comics would never happe becaue trying to translate the Death of Jason Todd (Robin II) world be to violent to translate to television.

I fullheartedly respect decisions like that. It shows they care about their fans enough to not disappoint them with a half-assed job.

Quote by DJZephyrit angers me to no extent when people treat the sacred vows with such disrespect.

I can see and agree with that, but on a different level. It's not really the vows they're disrespecting, but the person. The vows exist as a guideline for how you should care for and live with your lifemate. To be negligent in any of that care shows a lack of respect for the person. Maybe that person's feelings weren't that strong to begin with? Or they didn't know the person well enough to start and don't want to be bothered by the hassle of "in sickness, for poorer, etc."

I think you know a marriage is going to work when your relationship doesn't change from when you were dating and fell in love. That means there's no false pretenses, and everything remains genuine. That's what I believe anyways, since that's how my marriage is going. My husband is more than that... he is my best friend and most trusted companion. The "ball and chain" changed nothing other than the fact that we can be together always.

Quote by level401 year old orange juice, and I drank a cup of it until my housemate told me bout it. It tasted normal and nothing happened after that.

It's good you recorded that here, so that in 2 months when your mutations take firm hold, the investigation will go quicker... ~_^

Lol, I think that might still be good? If you can get it open. I imagine the lid being glued shut by now!

f

I've lost respect for civilian media altogether. To them, it's a competition for ratings. And lets face it, how exciting would a news show be if it were all/mostly "good" stuff? People would not watch, and that's the sick truth of it.

Being on topic, I think they're going to extremes to try and be politically correct because the second they mess up with a minority, they become prejudice in the audience's eyes.

f

Everyone contributes to it, and the way I see it... it's too late to make a difference in fixing things. We can only delay. *ominous music fading out*

Lol, they're not "new" rules.... -_-;;;

Ouch, thanks for the article, mughi! Adopting Western eating habits.... You know, the McDonalds in Japan are actually edible at least! In the states I"ll never eat it, it always makes my stomach hurt, but in Japan everything a WHOLE lot less greasy to where it makes you wonder.

But even Denny's still serves the traditional Japanese breakfast... O_o

Guess the bottom line is just what the article says (coincidentally, last on the page): "...the global battle of the bulge is one that people are going to have to fight for themselves."

f

Lol @ Neji, TV channels won't be the same for everyone.... -_-;;;

Those sites work now. Don't know what I did wrong yesterday! ^_^;;

f

I check all my groups once every week or less, honestly. If nothing's going on, well then, it just remains dead. Not always something to talk about on the subject... -_-;;
